28mm | An Evaluation - X100F

My X100F with the Wide Converter Fitted gives me 28mm F2.

All this in a neat package.

Its not a Leica Qll - to be honest, I wouldn’t spend 4K on a Leica. I would use that money to travel for one month.

I set up my X100F to shoot Black & White, the results were very interesting.

This set-up is pure street photography.

Getting close and seeing the moment unfold.

Stripping away all the colour just gives me highlights and shadows to work with. its actually very beautiful.

All my focus is on the Light and where it is landing.

I can see the interplay of highlight and shadows very easily with no colour in the way.

The 28mm field of view gives me my frame and gets out of the way.

I am left to focus on the narrative.

I am keeping this set up as my Black & White Camera exclusively.
