A Moment of Magic

This image sums up why I am so passionate about Photography.

I love people and I enjoy creating images of people that captures some unique expression.

These two fine gentleman saw me walking and said, “that’s a nice camera”. I said “thank you sir”.

So began a delightful conversation between us. They were sharing a father and son time. I felt slightly sad because this was something missing from my relationship with my own father.

I greatly admire the quite, still synergy and love that was present between them.

My mantra in life is; Be Open, Be Receptive & Be Responsive.

This photograph would not have been created without that mantra being a part of who I am and how I operate in the world with people. I asked them if I could create their portrait. I would not be offended if they said NO. I would have kick myself if I walked away without asking.

When I am granted the privilege of these wonderful moments, I ALWAYS, return the compliment by sending my new friends a copy of their image.

This is something I learnt from my friend and coach Bryan Peterson. This image represents a huge possibility to me.

To see a father and son completely at peace like this is very inspiring.

I am happy they granted me permission to share their image and my story at having met them. #fathersandson #loveforsons #relationships #family #blackmenandson #empoweringtheblackcommunity
