Carnival 2023| A Disappointment

Carnival 2023 will be a reminder of what happens when the Police take themselves and their role seriously.

The spirit of The Notting hill Carnival is lost…..FOREVER.

I am all for having a presence of the Police at this cultural event. It’s a very important requirement and it’s for the well being and safety of everyone.

However, The Notting Hill Carnival is all about movement, dancing and freedom of expression, not controlling the crowd to form an orderly que.

A queue for what?

You form a line for Jerk Chicken.

I lost interest and decided to come home.

I came home disappointed.

The subjugation of black people and our culture continues.

The Police have s very important job no question about it.

I felt the heavy stormtrooper presence was unjustified. The control of our movement on the roads killed the joy of our expression.

Fuck it

I am not going back.

Disappointed I am 🤯
