MW | One of Each

I really like the 28mm Field of View for this study.

I can experience the full range of Colour from my balcony.

The Shades of Grey Conversion creates a totally different experience.

What a difference…

This is the conversion after editing the RAW File as a Colour Image. This approach works for me because Colour comes first for my vision.

This study is teaching me to see deeply into the narrative of Colour; Black and White are considered Colours and also Shades.

This means the presence of Light determines how dark or how bright or muted the colours will be perceived.

Our perception of Colour is the magic.

What we perceive as the Colour Black is indicative of no Light being present.

I am trying to get my head round this - its mind boggling.

This explains to me why the most interesting parts of an Image have no Light.

Its a tap dance between Highlights and Shadows.

Phew.

It’s a lot easier to see when Colour has been stripped away.

What matters to me is answering a simple question; is Colour a part of the visual narrative?

This is the driving force for me in this evaluation.

A powerful story should still be present even in shades of grey.

Thanks for reading.
