Print Worthy

I told you I was going to Print it.

My goodness, it looks astonishing.

The Digital era is not the end of good old fashioned Printing of our images. The Print is the last stage of the Photographic Process. I consider it an absolute waste of money to purchase the latest and greatest gear just to post on Instagram in the hopes of likes and algorithms.

Allow me share some technical detail on this image:
ISO 200
SS 1/500
F11

Raw File edited in Lightroom.

Image created using The Fujifilm X-T1 paired with………..The XF18mm F2

Read that last bit again.

A Camera is 9 years old, the Lens is 10 years old.

Seriously old technology.

The XF18mm F2 is considered to be a crap Lens from the original 3 that was released with the x-Pro 1.

This image tells me otherwise.

This set-up has gifted me a gorgeous image worthy of hanging on my wall……and I will.

Our gear is only as good as our technique will allow. Technical skill is everything in my world.

Our efforts must yield a tangible result.

This digital era can make us lazy, I know this to be true for myself and my images.

My images printed, framed and hanging on my wall at home makes me happy.

Thanks for reading
