16-55mm F2.8 - The Joy Of Seeing
May 10, 2025The weather was lovely today.
I decided to go for a walk along The Grand Union Canal -Little Venice.
All of the images in this Photo Essay were created using my X-Pro 2 & The XF-16-55mm F2.8.
This Lens is Fuji's equivalent of the classic 24-70mm f2.8. I love this focal Length - it sits right at the focal distance of how my eyes work - Wide & Long.
With Light being so warm and gorgeous, my images came out lovely.
This first set of images were created at 16/24mm - nice and wide. I love this view, it really sets the context for the scene.
A wide angle Lens must be used correctly - it means getting close to establish depth.
Little Venice is very photogenic.
I love being near water - this is my birth sign.
This walk along the Canal leads towards The Paddington Basin. Today was perfect for this long walk.
The Lens I was using is extremely versatile for different types of subjects. I found myself shooting at 16/24mm 23/35mm. The expansive view of Little Venice demands to be taken all in. To be devoured. It really is beautiful.
By the time I got to Paddington there was still good light left to create a few more scenes of interest.
My last shots for today were of my Neighbourhood.
Walking with my Camera is my meditation and spiritual refuel.
I see beauty in the everyday moments, the mundane and the glory of light.I am grateful for my legs to walk, lungs to breathe and my eyes to see.
Thanks for reading.
