2020 Vision | An Enduring Classic

The XPro1 might be eight years old but it has held its own in a saturated market place with class, form and functionality.

This baby rocks big time.

She is a gutsy, feisty little play thing.

The hidden communication I feel from her is; come on Warrior, play with me if you think your bad enough and I will honour your vision with jaw dropping images.

This girl ain’t playing.

I needed to understand her love language for my hands and vision.

Two Lens set up: XF27mm and the XF35mm1.4

Manual Focus: this means I can Back Button Focus for stealthy speed.

Images Created in RAW: this camera has no WiFi Functionality so shooting Raw makes sense because I need to get them into Lightroom.

20 second edit: created a preset which I call XProCC.

That’s Classic Chrome to us Warriors.

This little lady drags her feet slightly.

She is testing me and my patience.

Slowing down has become my new beat.

Breathing slowly, lining up my shot, holding my breath as a squeeze the trigger.

This new relationship means time together. Understanding the love language of this new honey requires active participation and acute listening to her response.

The images she delivers are sexy as hell.

I have not reached that point of total oneness; I can feel it.

She is playing hard to get.

The image quality tells me she’s worth it.

The greatest lesson I have learnt so far is appreciating what I have.

Learning everything about my tools.

G.A.S. is normal but not at the expense of nurturing my relationship with my tools.

I am greatful to the great Photographers who suffered and endured the quirky behaviour of this camera 12 years ago.

The Keizen Philosophy of The Fuji Corporation gave the community regular Firmware updates that improved the handling of The XPro1. Joining the party at this stage means I don’t have to suffers anywhere near as much as my heroes.

They carved a new path that others could follow.

I am on that path.

And happy.
