“O would some power the giftie gie us to see ourselves as others see us”. Robbie Burns

This famous qoute by Robbie Burns could easily apply to the non judgemental operation of a camera.

The Camera and Lens has no opinion about you or me.

If we could really see ourselves as others see us, I think we would be shocked at the creative opinions we have and hold about each other.

Opinions that have nothing to do with who the actual person is.

It’s a bloody miracle that we have relationships with each other.

I am no longer surprised why relationships fail and fail miserably.

I now understand why my relationships have failed.

Who I am and who people created me to be in their minds are two different people.

When the person I am conflicted with the made up illusion in the minds of others there was a breakdown.

Studying Portraits and creating such intimate moments of people has show me how people really see themselves and who they think they should be for the world.

I specialise in creating authentic expressive moments with people.

No lying.

No pretending.

My camera captures the true authentic expression of anyone I engage with.

I pride myself in this skill.

I will not settle for anything less.

Even with my Self Portraits, I hold myself to this same standard of self expression.

Anything less is a lie.

I am not lying to myself.

My camera will see both sides of the paradox.

Truth and Lies.

My identity is rooted at the source level of my spirit.

Thanks for reading.
