2020 Vision | Life, In Colour

The fact I can see all the colours of the rainbow 🌈 means that my images will reflect the colour I see.

I am attracted to colour.

It’s the first thing catches my senses.

Shape, Line, Form and Texture all follow immediately after.

The two remaining qualities are the Light and Gesture. These give the subject matter context, emotional content and meaning.

The Image of the Bicycle caught my attention. It was the dignity and poise, mixed with background Green and light Blue. This all contributed to a very understated and yet expressive moment.

My deeper appreciation for Colour comes from using The XPro Cameras. They come with a rich assortment of Film Simulations. Fuji built its reputation of their creative endeavours in producing Colour Film long before the digital age. Those classic Film Profiles have now been added to the Cameras.

The images in this post were created using Velvia Film Simulation with a -1 just to soften the impact.

I love the richness of Velvia, it’s not just for Landscapes. I use it when Primary Cours are present.

I see Colour.

I don’t see in Black and White, if I did, I would be colour blind
