2020 Vision | Seeing Deeply

I am blessed to live in a lovely part of West London, Maida Vale.

Warwick Avenue is the next stop from my Station.

The opening image of the young man stopped me in my tracks.

I felt his situation.

Surrounded by the beauty of Little Venice, I feel the sad plight of a homeless young man. I am assuming homeless - what else can I do.

Warwick Avenue is a very affluent neighbourhood - the contrast between a struggling life and security is sharp, vivid and I just cannot ignore it.

Seeing deeply has been a seven year journey where I have cultivated the courage to look life dead in the eye. All of it, to see the beauty, the genius and the madness of the human condition.

It’s a shocking observation this contrast.

In seeing deeply, I also see deeply into my nature.

What do I see ?

I see my deepest fear.

I hate feeling helpless.

Thank god it’s just a feeling.

I know u can make a difference.

I know I do make a difference.

It begins right here by documenting life exactly as I see it.
