Today my message is about self acceptance.

My camera will not lie to me, so why should I lie to myself.

Being mixed race allows me the opportunity to extolle the virtues of being a beautiful shade of cafe latte brown.

Why should I lie about the beauty of my genetics?

Is that who I am?

No, it’s a visual representation of my parents.

I acknowledge them with love and humility for all they gave me, first for life and then the values that I try to live by.

Still, there’s more to my identity.

That’s my creation and gift to God.

If God made me in his image, then bless you mum for calling me Michael.
