Every moment has a story to tell.
Three actually.
The moment
The subject.
The big why?
Why did I create this image?
It’s easy to assume this person is homeless.
Why else would he be sat crossed leg on the street?
Assumptions at best can create a false narrative.
I created this moment because I felt this story would hopefully begin a conversation about human dignity.
Every human being has their dignity and humanity.
My duty as a photojournalist is to use my eye, vision and emotional intelligence to point my camera at stories worth telling.
In some way, I hope this conversation brings dignity to the subject of homelessness.
