The Wider Frame

I love The Wider Context to my classic frame.

To be clear, the classic frame is 35mm as on a frame of film and digital sensor - this means using a 35mm Lens and learning how to work it.

I love the classic 35mm Lens - my visual field of view with one eye closed is closer to 21mm - this is very expansive and overkill for my natural expression.

I am comfortable at 24mm.

24mm is my sweet spot for epic sharpness throughout my Frame.

28mm is my natural vision.

I love this field of view because there is no optical tricks - I still need something in the foreground that communicates the beginning of the visual narrative.

Foreground interest is the killer statement.

It sets the context for the Frame - the rest of the Frame, be it a human interest or human construct builds the narrative.

I like using People as my opening remark.

The human element will always be a great source of inspiration for my visual frame.

This is the opening possibility for an exchange of humanity.

The Wider Frame allows room for humanity to flourish.

Thanks for reading.

“ Each day holds a surprise. But only if we expect it can we see, hear, or feel it when it comes to us. Let's not be afraid to receive each day's surprise, whether it comes to us as sorrow or as joy It will open a new place in our hearts, a place where we can welcome new friends and celebrate more fully our shared humanity”.
