This apartment building looks like it has seen better days.

This is where I played as a boy.

People still live here.

You cannot ignore the derelict condition.

Across the road is a new vision.

It looks like a different part of London - a more affluent setting for urban living.

The contrast is quite spectacular.

It has a feeling of gentrification about it.

I suspect the old building will be demolished in time to come, it is inevitable. It is the only building standing from 35 years ago.

This is what I see every morning.

An urban landscape so different from my childhood.

Everything changes, nothing stays the same.
