Visual Vocabulary

Singular Theme Subjects can be documented with a 50mm Lens. This mean a tight Frame around the subject with enough breathing space.

I am looking at the environment now as part of deepening my understanding of Visual Vocabulary.

18mm/28mm on my Fuji/Nikon is my natural wide Frame. This is my optics of choice for my environmental studies.

I treat my environment like the landscape photographer would treat his hills, alleys and mountains.

The urban landscape is equally as interesting and compelling to me.

The 18mm/28mm feels just about right. 24mm is truly epic which I adore. For this study, I don’t feel the need to go any wider.

With the environment now becoming my subject, this means this is my stage. Humanism will feature as a secondary complimentary subject.
