50mm 1.4

It keeps pulling me back.

There is a simplicity about the 50mm Lens that speaks to me.

This refinement of vision is very appealing; it's a way of seeing that strips away all nonsense and irrelevance. Its sculpts away until the truth within the frame is revealed.

I really love this visual expression - it's a tight frame and yet there is room for context around the main subject. Because of how my eyes work, I use the 50mm like a 35mm - I give myself room and space to craft my frame.

That mid point focal length gives a true to life field of view. The benefit for me is I see W-I-D-E any way so this frame cops in and gives me a different width.

This practice model is something I do regularly because my data base of knowledge has expanded with different focal Lengths. Using zoom lens is something I make use of when traveling. I treat my Zoom like a Prime Len; I set the focal length for my intended subject.

This has served me well.

The 50mm is now a part of me and feels correct.
