Consolidation - Pathway To Excellence

As a Professional Magician, I practice my Act daily. Yes, the routines I consider I do well receive a daily tune up.

This ritual has carried over into my image creation. It’s a must do, that I create at the very least, one image per day.

This means my camera is with me at all times.

My camera of choice for this would normally be my X100T.

It’s small, light and so agile.

With my Wide and Tele-Conversion Lens, I have three focal length to work with - the native F2 23mm, at the Wide End 28mm and 50mm at the Telephoto End.

Creating an image a day, especially at specific focal length, like my 18mm Project means my brain stays sharp and is continually making adjustments. This means I am able see and pre-imagine images at any given focal length. Even if I am using my 18-135mm - I will set my focal length and zoom with my feet.

My 18mm Project has come to an end, I am now working at 50mm using the Tele - Converter.

My X100 now looks a lot bigger due to the size of the Lens, I don’t care, results are all that matter.

Daily practice on the things I do competently well leads to unconscious mastery.

Mastering the basics is the foundation for everything.

Stay tuned, more to follow.
