The Image above shows my X-T1 paired with TTArtisan 27mm F2.8.

This set up transforms the whole unit into a lovely, light weight package.

The 27mm F2.8 is a Pancake Lens and its field of view gives a Full Frame equivalent of 40.5mm. This field of view offers up a strong challenge to the classic 50mm being the true standard optics.

That extra 10mm is a big deal of breathing space when doing a Camera Walk. The 50mm is a very physical optics to engage with. Learning to create images with a 50mm requires dedicated practice - I love the 50mm and I also love the 40mm.

I consider the 27/40mm my widish 50mm.

This Lens on The X-System is truly delightful. It looks really cool and attracts a lot of attention.

The end result is the images quality.

I think this Lens is fantastic; it has a dedicated Aperture Ring which I love. The Fuji MK 1 version has no Aperture Ring. Fuji released a MKii version which has a dedicated Aperture Ring. This is important for tactile control and fluid operation.

The image quality is perfect.

Nothing more to be said.

Thanks for reading.
