Fresh Vision | Feeling Life

My Fresh Vision Project is taking on a life of its own.

Seeing, Feeling and Responding to life going on around me is the heart beat of this adventure.

Fresh Vision is my access to stronger images.

Stronger images mean becoming more proactive, fearless and engaging with the moment.

This moment above was created in a heart beat. The Cyclist caught my eye. I was using my X-T1 paired with the 18-55mm F2.8-4. The tilt Screen gave me a discreet view and vantage point to create this moment and expression of life. I think they saw me, however, I was looking down at my Camera screen, just like Vivian Maier and her Rolliflex.

This is another example; with the Camera in Rolliflex position I become “almost invisible”.

One more example; I saw the dogs and then moved in closer for the second shot. Both images creates at 18mm/27mm - my perfect Frame.

The 27/28mm field of view is wide without the exaggeration of a wider 24mm. I like this vision because to my eye it retains its visual integrity while allowing me a fresh perspective.

The foreground interest sets up the story; the 28mm field of view is a story telling vision which welcomes a visual narrative full of layers and complexity.

“Life is a series of natural and spontaneous changes. Don't resist them - that only creates sorrow. Let reality be reality. Let things flow naturally forward in whatever way they like”.
