FV | The XF 56mm 1.2

This is my final test drive before my adventure kicks off. This Fresh Vision and Field of View is as exciting as it gets.

The Fujifilm XF56mm 1.2 is the X-Systems 85mm. I have had this Lens a long time, it has not received much love from me.

Using it today has been such a great joy. It felt very natural and effortless for my eyes and vision. With a fast maximum Aperture of 1.2, it delivers a very shallow depth of focus with a gorgeous smooth Bokeh - this obliterates the background making the subject pop in the Frame.

As a short Telephoto Lens, it is designed and perfect for Portraits. I have a big interest Portraiture Photography. The human face is a landscape of mystery to me.

Also, this Lens doubles up as an optics for Candid Moments and extracting detail in a scene.

I am choosing this Lens for my Kit Bag because I will be looking for moments where the gesture and expression of life must not be disturbed.

My adventure today with the Lens was deeply satisfying.

I love how it fits with my natural vision; 28mm for my wide natural view and 85mm for my natural telephoto - this is how my eyes work.

So The Fuji X-System has given me two wonderful optics at 18mm & 56mm. Each Lens will be on two camera bodies: X-Pro 2 & The X-T2. I will keep the 33mm in my bag.

So I am clear now about my choice of gear for my forthcoming adventure.

Stay tuned, I will be doing a few more test drives over the next few days.

Thanks for reading.
