Lockdown Tourist

My Daily walks are a reminder to live in a state of gratitude.

The last two years have meant no traveling. So, I have documented my life during this lockdown recording images of life in my neighbourhood.

My neighbourhood is lovely.

Maida Vale is calm, peaceful with a still serene energy.

This daily ritual has become an important practice for my mental health. The lockdown killed my career & business.

I became isolated and insular to the point of cynical about everything and almost everyone…..

My saving grace has been my Coffee Shop.

This is where I enjoy being still, quiet and peaceful.

Here, I practice my sleight of hand and create new routines for my craft.

This is where I study, create and document.

Maida Vale is full of Coffee Shops - the local residents are spoilt for choice. This is our community.

This is home.

This is heaven to me.
