Magical Amsterdam

The city of Amsterdam calls me back.

I read in the news paper that EURO Star would be traveling direct to Amsterdam in under four hours. Earlier this year I traveled by train to Glasgow which was easy enough. Not to boring or tedious. So I thought a train journey through Brussels to one of my favourite cities would be just about perfect, it was.

This trip was very special, I traveled with just one camera and my 50mm. I just wanted to challenge myself and really train my vision to create some lovely images. The city is beyond photogenic, with that being said, I take nothing for granted. Walking, feeling, seeing and creating arecritical my image creation process.

Life on the streets continues to roll, with Bicycles as the mode of transportation, it was fascinating to see the oddest things, bikers texting, giving a friend a lift, ignoring danger, riding with such free reckless abandon.

With each visit, I learn and feel much more at home. It takes time to feel part of a place. With it being so close to London now, I feel quite empowered knowing I can hop on a train for a day or long weekend trip and just enjoying myself, create images and feel alive.
