I am still contemplating my Trinity.

I know with certainty The 33mm 1.4 is going to be part of this line up.

Why?

I have written about this before - it’s a perfect field of view for the classic 50mm. It comes in at 49.5 which is close enough in my book with the 1.5 Crop. Compared to the XF35mm that’s a 53mm which is the beginning of Telephoto.

This Lens is beautiful - it renders perfectly and my eyes are happy with it.

To use this Lens properly, I need room and space to manoeuvre. The image above was created with me 10 metres away. This is about right. Zooming with my feet is a must if I desire less context in my frame.

This Lens is great for singular themes that can tell a story.

Used correctly, it can be very deceptive in terms of how it embraces a wider field of view.

So yes, my Trinity begins with this classic normal field of view Lens.
