Peterborough

Last Saturday, I spent the day in Peterborough with my dear friend Heather.

We have known each other for over 20 years. Our time together was short and delightful.

We decided to meet in Peterborough because it represented a good half way point for us. I live in London so it was ideal. A perfect excuse to get out of London for the day with my Camera.

Peterborough is visually rich.

After a great lunch we enjoyed our walk through town, heading toward The Cathedral.

The grounds of The Cathedral are magnificent.

I was astonished by the architecture. The whole infrastructure and surrounding area was build in the 1200s. The original buildings still stand today.

This grand Cathedral stands tall and dignified. A tribute to impeccable Stone Masonry and engineering.

The inside decor blew me away.

I loved the expression of the Light and how it brought to life the stone carvings and stained glass windows.

The jewel in the crown was the grand service hall in all its glory.

Truly magnificent.

My final image was the Candles.

I lit one for my mother.

It was a perfect day out

Thanks for reading 🙏🏽.
