Pines And Needles

The last year has flown by very quickly.

It only seems like yesterday when I was documenting the selling of Christmas Trees in my neighbourhood.

Well, Pines and Needles are back.

I was very lucky yesterday - I saw the workmen off loading Santa Operation Shed. It was on the back of a Truck and had be lifted up my some crane contraption. The workmen all assisted in ensuring the little Hut landed on the ground safely.

The Hut was on wheels which meant it could be positioned right in front of the Laundrette where it was last year.

It required quite about of manoeuvring to get the Hut into a steady and safe position. Blocks of wood acted as supports from underneath. This ensured a stable platform because the pavement is not level.

One my way home from the West End, I created this image - this low light added to the ambience and presence of Santa’s Hut.

Next up will be the arrival of The Trees and The Pines and Needles Gang.

I will be there to document the whole adventure.
