Present Moment Living

This Pandemic has giving me impetus to go through my Archive.

I know for a fact I have clocked over 10,000 images.

Henri Cartier suggested our first 10,000 would be our worst.

It’s astonishing to think this phrase preceded Malcolm Gladwells 10,000 hours of practice by several decades.

Practicing comes naturally to me, I am a Sleight of Hand Artist by trade.

Curating my Archive fills me with gratitude.

My journey through life over the last few years has been a blessing.

I feel joy right now that my images have allowed me to experience life and people different to my own all over the world.

Being fully present to life with a Camera in my hands feels as natural as my deck of cards.

The Pandemic has forced me to create a new context for my life.

I have decided that in spite of the limitations imposed on my movements, I can still create something out of my day.

A thirty minute walk very often yields something interesting to me.

What was normal at the start of the year is no longer relevant.

What is relevant is how to live inside the context of Self Isolation, Social Distancing and even more Online Engagement.

For me, this means even more time on my own.

Less contact with people face to face.

Reading, Thinking, Dreaming and Hoping.

In spite of everything, it is still a beautiful life.

La Vitta Belle was an astonishing Film. It illustrated the power of love in the most dire of human circumstances.

Our battle right now is one of Love vs Fear.

Do you believe in Love?

Do you honestly feel that life can and will be better after this?

Who will you become after this Pandemic?

Stop for a moment and be still with these questions.

Who are you now?

Who do you want to be?

The answer to these questions will be found in the fruits of the spirit.
