Remembrance

Every year, without fail, we remember.

We remember the bravery of men and women who fought on the frontlines of Europe against a force of evil so powerful, it scares me even now just thinking about it.

Stop and think for a minute; what kind of world would we be living in if our heroes didn’t defeat the evil that dominated Europe since 1939.

This remembrance, in the form of Red Poppies signifies our gratitude to the strong willed armies who fought for freedom and democracy.

I spoke with the people in these images and had great admiration for them.

I purchased my own Poppy Pin and wear it.

There is no doubt in my mind that he who shall not be named would have come after Black People. Less said about that the better.

Thank heavens a “British Bull Dog” by the name of Churchill took the fight to evil and said do your worst.

This is why we remember

“We shall go on to the end, we shall fight in France, we shall fight on the seas and oceans, we shall fight with growing confidence and growing strength in the air, we shall defend our island, whatever the cost may be, we shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender.”

Winston Churchill - June 4th 1940
