Seeing The Moment

When I left home today, the sight in the image about greeted me. Here we go again, more road works to disrupt the neighbourhood.

What I found interesting was my response to this scene; I saw and felt a ongoing story.

So, I decided to work this scene into a collection of images and moments that expanded the visual narrative.

I even caught a moment of humour.

Seeing the potential for a possible narrative is always present. I switch myself on to this opportunity.

“Where is the story”?

That’s what I ask myself.

A single Frame can reveal a whole dynamic story.

What do you see in the image above?

A moment presents itself right in front of me and my investigation begins.

Colour catches my eye and then something deeper is revealed to me.

A Theme like Humans and their Dogs may be a running narrative on a given day.

or

A Theme comes together like the Colour Yellow.

At the very centre of my Photography is People. Humanism, the expression and gesture of life is forever present to me. Some moments move me go create, other times, I am happy just SEEING life unfold.

Waiting.

Observing.

Wondering.

Feeling.

Hoping………for something.

I am just a witness.

“There's beauty everywhere. There are amazing things happening everywhere, you just have to be able to open your eyes and witness it. Some days, that's harder than others”.

Sarah McLachlan
