The Best of The Best

The best Camera is the one you have with you. A statement that comes up regularly on my research. I agree up to a point; we must learn what our Camera can do and learn to maximise its potential.

I position myself on the side of a Camera that supports my creative vision. This means rendering my images as I saw and felt them and with an indescribable magic.

For me, only two Cameras come close to this ideal: The X-Pro 1 & The Nikon D700.

End of conversationšŸ˜‚

The D700 is my personal favourite Camera; this is how I use it for my Projects along with the X-Pro 1.

My choice of Lens are:

Nikon 28mm F2D

Nikon 35mm F2D

Nikon 50mm F1.8D

& Nikon 28-70mm F3.5-4D

The 50mm was delivered today from MPD.

I specifically wanted this 1.8D Lens.

It was made for the D700 and the images from it, oh my goodness; the colour rendering is sublime.

What makes me laugh is this gear is over 13 years old; the Lens is from 2002 and the Camera from around 2008. The D700 was Nikons big new monster along with the D3 at the time.

Why should these old Dinosaurs be relegated to the scrap heap when they still produces quality images?

This acquisition killed my lust for the latest and greatest.

I am happy with this; The Best of The Best.

If the best Camera in the world makes you feel happy using it and delivers the results that inspires you, then donā€™t leave home without it.

Thanks for reading.

ā€œI, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in itā€.
