The Spirit of Adventure

Getting on a train for a day out of London is all part of my adventurous spirit.

My photography on such a day begins the moment I arrive at the station. This sets the context for the journey.

I love the contrast of departure and arriving at my destination. The images above are of Winchester Train Station, 90 minutes from London.

I went to see my friend Matt who lives in Alresford which is just outside of Winchester - the nearest station.

It’s difficult to create a bad photograph of Winchester - this is a very photogenic subject worthy of spending time here.

Travel Photography is all about the place, the people and the culture.

Traveling 90 minutes out of London is no different than 4 hours to Paris, Amsterdam or 13 hours to Hong Kong. The spirit of adventure pulls me forward towards my destination in the hope that I can see, feel and be receptive to the expression of life through different cultures.

My day in Winchester was perfect. I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day. My images reflect the spirit of traveling with my Camera.

Thanks for reading.
