XT1

I have been using my X-T1 since 2014.

I still use it today.

It works and delivers fantastic images.

The Retro Styling has initiated many conversation about the days of analogue Cameras.

I am not skilled enough to review a Camera.

My writings are about my adventures and the images I create. When I focus on a specific Camera or Lens, it’s rooted in a visceral relationship.

My experience with The XT1 goes deep because I have traveled with it and have used almost all of the XF Lens with it. This Camera us quite simply magnificent as an imaging device.

I love the fact all of the controls are where I need them. Right at my fingers tips, I can change my Aperture on the Lens, Shutter Speed and ISO on the top dials. Everything else I don’t need I turn off in the Menu. My hands on usage feels like I am handling a Film Camera.

I create my image 90 % of the time in full Manual Mode.

The XT series has been upgraded three times since I got the X-T1. The newer versions are stunning and have a few extra bells and whistles which are to be honest needed. Nevertheless, I love my Camera. It does the job and I have learnt how to work it.

Today, I had the Camera paired with the XF18mm F2.

This combination with beautifully.

So, onwards we match into a new year. I will not be changing my gear.

It works.

We have a loyal partnership.

Thanks for reading.
