2020 Vision | A Quantum of Solace

If you have read any of The Bond Books by Ian Fleming, you will have come across this title.

It’s a very short story and a brilliant study in human nature and the behaviour of people.

Human behaviour is something we can never predict accurately.

How a person behaves will change given a unique set of circumstances.

Our current climate and Pandemic has opened my eyes to the massive lie and authentic behaviour of people I thought I knew well.

I look at my own behaviour and because of my studies in Landmark Education, I hold up my hands with full accountability and can declare from the roof tops; “I HAVE BEEN A RIGHT ASS HOLE IN MY LIFE”. And as my coach once said to me, “you don’t know your ass from a hole in the ground”.

I burst out laughing when he said that.

This entry is about something meaningful.

A Quantum of Solace is all about preserving our humanity and find some measures of comfort in this crazy ass world right now.

I am finding solace in knowing I am doing my best to look after my mother.

I find comfort in creating at least one image a day that puts a smile on my face. 😄

I practice a little magic when the mood strikes - to be honest, that’s more on the shelf right now.

If the Godess of magic blesses me with another opportunity to bring my craft back to life, I promise you, it will be greatest thing you will ever see.

My Solace today was inspired by my dear friend Serenia.

I was going to Photograph The Waterfall in Regents Park.

I head in that direction but my instincts told me “NO”. think of Mary - I head back home, took a detour through my park and caught a few surprises that I had not seen before.

I knew this section of my park was there, I didn’t know it was designed with such appealing aesthetics.

Unfortunately, it was locked up.

I had to make do with creating images behind the fence.

An image a day at the very least is my Solace.

The world has become a dark place of sinister activities that is having a massive impact on our peace of minds.

Solace during this dark period is required.

We must fight to preserve our joy and positive meaning.

Do whatever you can to seek a tiny piece of heaven for yourself. 🙏🏾🌏🙏🏾.

This is our world.

Let’s protect her so the next generation have something worth fighting for.
