2020 Vision | Creative Vision

Creative vision is where my studies are now.

This means allowing life to present me with opportunities where I can create a story.

I have not ventured far from home since this lockdown. All of my images have been in my neighbourhood. Fortunately, no two days are the same, I see different people and possibilities everyday.

The energy of my neighbourhood is open, it isn’t compressed like Central London. So, the Lens I use is either the 35mm or 23mm on my XPro2.

There is plenty of space for me to move, navigate and zoom with my feet.

I read online that Henri Cartier Bresson used his 50mm like the classic 35mm. This meant his positioning and framing was further back, to take in more of the environment as and when required.

The 50mm is considered the normal Lens on a Full Frame. I actually like it when using my Nikon D750. On my Fuji Bodies, the 35mm gives me 53mm. This means I can practice my composition like Henri Cartier Bresson.

So, my creative vision for my spacious neighbourhood is created in the frame of 16, 18, 23, 27 or 35mm. I choose my Lens to practice and stay sharp.

Zooming with my feet is the cheapest way to get close to my subject while remaining invisible.

Thanks for reading
