2020 Vision | Light Magic

The Fuji XT1 paired with the XF 35mm F1.4 is still a magical partnership.

When you add a Speedlight even more so.

All of my Flash Tools are for my Nikon Bodies; fortunately, I have triggers for both Nikon and my Fuji’s.

This afternoon, I paired my manual only Yongnuo to my XT1.

I created these images of mum at 1.4

Bright and vivid.

My flash power was at 1/128 due to my wide Aperture.

My shutter speed sync maxed out at 1/180 which is slow compared to my Nikon’s 1/250.

Even at 1/180, my Ambient exposure was almost completely dark - the Ambient exposure was sufficiently suppressed. There was the minutest detail of room light 💡

Nevertheless, my Speedlight did the job perfectly.

This is a very good speed light and it also has a trigger so it can be used off camera.

Light is Light.

I am doing all I can to understand her magic.
