2020 Vision | Light Show

This year has been all about Light.

Mr Kodak said, “Know Light for all you are worth”. I paraphrase, words to that effect.

I took this seriously.

Studying how my Flash works and how to use it On and Off Camera has been a beautiful study. This study has helped me to appreciate the magic of Ambient Light even more.

This morning, I was greeted with Foggy display in my neighbourhood. My normal reaction would not be pleasant. As an image creator, I saw this moody seen in Black & White because the Light spoke to me. The Foggy atmosphere inspired me to create an image.

Marielise came to visit mum yesterday and she looked lovely, a photographic opportunity I was not going to let pass. I set up my one Light on a stand in its SOFTBOX Brolly and created a few images.

I even experimented with a Clamshell Set-Up.

I love The Clam Shell Lighting Set-Up.

The bright, expressive Light really brings out the natural beauty in Marielise. This will be one of my go to set ups from now on.

I just need to pay attention to my Family of Angles to avoid glare in glasses.

As for mum, she sat quietly while I practised my lighting patterns.

I feel a strong connection with this illusive component now.

I see the source of all creation.

The Birth of our Sun 🌞 is the reason we are here and that life has flourished for billions of years.

My Photography has gone up a gear or two because I see the essential element that inspires my vision.

I have seen the Light.
