A Frame Worthy Moment

This is a worthwhile consideration.

What is a “Frame Worthy Moment”?

Imagine this; before digital, my roll of Film came with either 12, 24 or 36 possible Exposures or Frames waiting to be exposed to Light. Every Frame was valuable because every Frame cost money to develop.

My Digital SD Card has the potential to hold up to 300 Raw Files. My Camera shoots at 16 megapixels so my Card is not excessively bloated. Nevertheless, every Frame counts, or does it?

Shooting Digital made me lazy; I caught myself just in time. I don’t want to sit in front of a computer any longer than I have to. So, I don’t create an image unless I consider it Frame worthy. This means the subject must interest me, inspire me and compel me to create the image.

It’s that simple.

I no longer shoot for the sake of it.

That’s not photography.

It’s about creating with intention, seeing with real purpose and seeking a narrative that communicates something meaningful.

A Frame worthy moment is an opportunity to take a slice of life, put a 35mm Frame around it and preserve it forever at 1/250 second.

That is the magic of photography.
