Colour Vision

Black & White is a compelling and dramatic element to image creation. I know this to be true because 20th Century History was documented this way long before Colour was accepted.

The World has been full of Colour long before the very first exposure and yet Colour Photography was frowned upon during the 1950s and 60s.

Even now, many Photographer have chosen the path of Monochrome. I am choosing to honour the world I see.

I live in a World of Colour.

I am blessed to see Colour with my eyes. I don’t see in Black & White.

I have a better understanding of how Primary Colours translate in shades of grey. This is not how I choose to create my images.

I ❤️ Colour.

I also accept that on an overcast day, my passion for Primary Colour may render flat and lack visual punch. Its on a day like this, shades pf grey become a big possibility.

My Spirit and Soul feels alive because I feel the glory of the Light through Colour.

My Studies in Understanding Monochrome has not been a waste, far from it. It has exposed me to a critical element in my Visual Self Expression.

Light, Colour & Gesture, as documented by Jay Maisel is my Creative Triangle.
