F22 | Epicscape

I don’t consider myself a Landscape Photographer.

I live in the London suburb of Maida Vale.

If I lived anywhere remotely close to Hills, Valleys and Mountains,I would be up at the crack of dawn to catch the morning light.

Having said that, I have studied the work of great photographers who specialise in Landscape images. I did so to learn about Depth of Field, Lens choice and the behaviour Light.

I have applied the techniques of Landscape Photography to the environment I live close too and see everyday.

On my Travels, I am bound to come across and epic scene which begs to be captured in all its glory.

My favourite technique was taught to me by my friend and coach Bryan Peterson.

Lens: XF16mm - 24mm - 18mm 28mm

Aperture: F22

Shutter Speed: where it needs to be with an ISO of 200.

Camera on Tripod with Foreground Interest.

Turn off Auto Focus and pre-set to 1 meter @24mm or 2 meters @ 28mm.

Take the shot.

This technique delivers an image with epic sharpness right through the frame - front to back.

Truly Epicscape.

I think of Photography as a subject that teaches me how to create an image of ANY SUBJECT.

I don’t limit myself to one genre, why?

I would be bored out of my mind.

I am exploring Boudoir and Fine Art Nude next - what a glorious subject.

This has it own skill set: Camera settings, Lens choice and Off Camera Lighting.

Watch this space.

To Be Continued.

Thanks for reading.

“Landscape photography is the supreme test of the photographer - and often the supreme disappointment”.
