SFS: Just Enough Light

I didn’t think much of this moment when I created the image. It was a reaction shot because, I want to see how well my XF 18mm F2 handled low light.

On reflection, I saw a bit of a narrative.

I sat with it and explored the message in this moment.

Sometimes, my subconscious know best - in fact, it does, I just get out of the way.

So, what’s the narrative?

Well,

Even with a little light present, there was just enough to reveal the shape and form of a lone traveler.

This in itself was a great moment.

Who was she?

Where was she going?

It was late and dark.

Safe journey madam.

Just enough light to say hello, mind how you go.

“If there were no night, we would not appreciate the day, nor could we see the stars and the vastness of the heavens. We must partake of the bitter with the sweet. There is a divine purpose in the adversities we encounter every day. They prepare, they purge, they purify, and thus they bless”.
