The Focus on Lifght

Light.

This is Photography.

Right there, in that four letter word, the only thing that matters to the creation of an image.

I have come to really appreciate and dare I say love The Light.

I am talking about seeing the Light and making it my PRIMARY SUBJECT.

If the Light is my primary Subject, this means where ever it falls will be illuminated and whatever is revealed will be given shape and form. I am intrigued by this because the areas not revealed by Light will contribute to the visual drama.

Time of day will contribute a great deal to the colour and temperature. Our glorious Sun does it job perfectly. At the right time of day, the colours can be a magical expression.

The combination of Ambient Light & Florescent can make for a seductive partnership.

The Ambient Light alone is a great study in direction, quality, warm and cool expression.

Seeing it, feeling it is as great adventure.

The Light comes before anything else.

The subject comes to life.

“Out of the darkness, into the light”.

Light equals Life.
