XF 10-24 | Seeing Deeper

Seeing deeper is all about embracing the wider canvass.

The Frame is still the classic 35mm, however, the optics of this Lens forces me to stretch my vision and imagination.

The human eye doesn’t perform such optical tricks.

The standard Lens of 50mm has achieved its reputation for matching our normal field of view.

This applies to people with good 20/20 vision.

Not me, unfortunately.

If getting closer to the foreground is required, so be it. This simple act while intimidating, is required for dramatic storytelling.

I can already feel a deep connection to this Lens because at 10mm I have a dramatic impact, at 24mm/35, I am in classic frame territory which is my normal.

As I have said many times - my sweet spot is 28mm.

What I really feel now is the visual confidence of knowing exactly what this Lens is going to be used for.

This study has been a big breakthrough for my photographic maturity.

Thanks for reading.
