XF14mm: Spectacular Vision

I don’t consider myself a WIDE ANGLE Shooter. Even though I have the XF16mm, the XF18mm and the classic frame 23mm, I don’t normally go wider the 16mm.

The XF16mm equals the perfect 24mm field of view and is my sweet spot for storytelling compositions.

Today, I felt like seeing W-I-D-E-R.

Enter the epic XF14mm F2.8

I was reminded why I appreciate having this Lens in my tool box - it is spectacular.

On my X-Pro2, it is perfect.

There is a real skill to using this Lens. Foreground interest is a must. This means seeking out the opening sentence in the composition.

This Lens focuses real close.

This means my foreground interest will be prominent in the scene.

This Lens is definitely an optics for Landscape Images.

Because I live in a suburb of London, my neighbourhood is my Landscape.

Nevertheless, I would travel with this Lens.

Having used this today, I am considering the XF14mm, the Viltrox 33mm and one telephoto as my Travel Kit. I would have two bodies to function effectively.

Without any shadow of doubt, I love every single one of my XF Lens. Each Lens answers a specific question and responds with great visual dynamics.
