Colour, Light & Expression

My last few days of shooting have been a wonderful meditation.
The Light has been very pleasing.
This prompted me to revisit the thinking of Jay Maisel.
Jay Maisel is a legend.
His Photography is a celebration of life and all that it entails. He is one of my inspirations because his whole philosophy is to be open to life and fully engaged in the moment.
Go out totally empty.
Pay attention to what is happening right in front of you.
This is Jay’s approach - it works for me.
I am deaf and I have no distractions regarding sound.
My attention is on walking, observing, breathing and feeling.
Allowing life to simply be.
My ongoing project is to document the expression of life. This means paying attention to the Light and Colour. The expression is my interpretation of what Jay calls “The Gesture”.
The Gesture / Expression is present everywhere.
I am training myself to feel its presence.
The Light and Colour all contribute; its the expression that brings the visual narrative…….TO LIFE.
Colour, Light & Expression are my focus right now.
