FV | The Bigger Picture

Fresh Vision for 2023 is all about seeing the bigger picture.

Allow me to share what this means to me.

My Subject Matter has become Space.

My Vision has become much more in tune with the space around me. The Space and the Background is now my broader and wider vision - the 35mm Classic Frame is still my Canvass. My Spatial Context is now governed by…….. My choice of Lens.

My choice of Lens is The Wide Angle: my current tool box covers 10mm right up to 35mm. In between that is 14mm, 16mm, 18mm and 23mm.

The Wide Angle Optics, stretches and pulls the elements in the Frame. This is a storytelling Lens. The Foreground, the Middle Elements & The Background narrative must all fit the 35mm Frame. This is a Frame with much more information to consider.

My new adventure began yesterday.

I spent the day in Paris yesterday; this was my decompression after my mother’s Funeral. The one Lens that I used was my 14mm F2.8mm This Lens felt so right to my eyes.

I Will share more about my Paris adventure later. For now, that experience showed me the beauty of the Wide Angle.

The Bigger Picture is in direct proportion to the space and environment I find myself in. It is the context for the visual narrative - the 35mm Frame with the Wider angle of view allows me to fill the Frame with relevant and layered content.

Thanks for reading.
